Norwich striker Josh Sargent will join Toronto FC in a deal worth more than £20m, a potential record fee paid by an MLS club.
Sargent is flying out to Canada on Friday before undertaking a medical at the Canadian side, reports BBC Radio Norfolk.
The initial payment is believed to be around £15.5m, rising to more than £20m with add-ons, and he is expected to sign a five-year contract.
Toronto's transfer fee could eclipse Son Heung-min's £20m-plus move to Los Angeles FC in August.
The 26-year-old USA international has scored eight goals in 25 appearances in all competitions this season, with six in the Canaries' opening five matches of the campaign.
Sargent arrived at Carrow Road in 2021 for £8m from German side Werder Bremen and will depart having scored 56 goals in 157 appearances.
His last game for the Championship club was in early January and he had been training with the second team.
Norwich boss Philippe Clement said he was still waiting for confirmation the deal had gone through.
"It's the same as I've said for the past couple of weeks - as long as I don't have official news, and I don't have for the moment, there is nothing to say about it," he told BBC Radio Norfolk.
'Bitter end for previously much-loved striker'

The Josh Sargent saga appears to be reaching a conclusion, finally.
The USA international is on his way to Canada to sign for MLS side Toronto in a deal which could earn the Canaries more than £20m. As always with modern transfer fees, there is a criteria for add-ons that need to be fulfilled down the line, but the targets are said to be "achievable".
Despite his position as public enemy number one among Canary fans following his refusal to play in the FA Cup tie against Walsall, Sargent was the club's best player.
The blow of losing him will be softened by the emergence of January signing Mohamed Toure - who now has five goals in three games - but it remains to be seen if the Australian can permanently fill the Sargent-shaped void.
Top scorer Jovon Makama will miss a large part of the rest of the season with a foot injury, so the 21-year-old Toure is now the main man with Danish forward Mathias Kvistgaarden another option.
Sargent will look to pick up his career in the MLS and stake a late claim to be part of the USA's World Cup squad, with this summer's tournament being held in his homeland, Canada and Mexico.
For Norwich supporters it's a bitter end for a previously much-loved striker they voted for as player of the season in 2025.
