Lewis Ferguson and Kieron Bowie will both hope to impress Scotland head coach Steve Clarke when Bologna host Hellas Verona on Sunday, live on BBC Alba.
Bologna captain Ferguson has only played three minutes in I Rossoblu's past three Serie A outings, left on the bench for wins over Udinese and Pisa.
He did start both legs of their Europa League play-off victory over Brann though.
Bowie - Hibernian's club-record sale after joining Verona in January - has started the past four matches for the league's bottom side, but is yet to get off the mark for his new club.
Ferguson has become a regular in Clarke's midfield and started November's exhilarating 4-2 win over Denmark as Scotland sealed their spot at this summer's World Cup.
Bowie was left out of that squad, but has previously won two caps and could force his way back in with a strong finish to the season in Italy.
In the previous Serie A meeting this season, Bologna came from a goal down to win 3-2, thanks to first-half goals from Riccardo Orsolini, Jens Odgaard and Santiago Castro.
Ferguson's side are eighth in Italy's top flight after three straight wins and still harbour ambitions of a European spot. They trail Juventus in sixth by eight points with 11 matches of the seasons remaining.
